Centennial Spray Park Design and Construction

District of Kent 2017-02


Submission of Proposals
 
The District of Kent is requesting proposals from qualified spray park design bid and build contractors or manufacturer’s representative for the design, and installation of spray park equipment and surrounding landscape at Centennial Park within the District of Kent, B.C. up to a maximum of $300,000.00 including applicable taxes.  Proposals can be forwarded via mail and/or dropped off at the following address:

Three (3) proposals (original plus two (2) copies) must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked “RFP 2017-02 Centennial Spray Park Design and Construction Project.”  Proponents must complete and submit the forms attached in Section 2 “Proposal Submission Requirements”. Closing time for Proposals will be no later than 12:00 pm local time April 7, 2017.  Proposals received after such time will not be considered.  General enquiries regarding the RFP may be directed to Ms. Jennifer Thornton, Director of Community Services & Projects by calling 604-796-2235 or by email at jthornton@district.kent.bc.ca. 
 
The proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of either a bid bond issued by a corporation licensed to carry on business of surety in the Province of British Columbia or cash equivalent in the amount of 10% of the total tender price including GST.  A money order or certified cheque is considered equivalent to a bid bond.
 
Proponents are advised that all subsequent information regarding this RFP, including any addendum items, will be communicated via the District’s website at http://www.district.kent.bc.ca/bik-tenders and BC Bid, up to four (4) business days prior to the RFP closing date. 
 
In accordance with the District of Kent Purchasing Policy Fin 2008-01, local bidders will receive preference where services are equal but the cost does not exceed 5%.  The District reserves the right to reject any or all RFP proposals, to waive defects in any submitted documents, and to accept any offer which it may consider being in the best interest of the District.  Any proposal or bid will not necessarily be accepted, and the District is not responsible for any costs incurred by the Proponent.
 
There will be a public opening for this Request for Proposal at the District of Kent Municipal Hall located at the above noted address.
