The RDKB is currently seeking applications for a permanent, full-time Lifeguard Instructor 3 position at the Grand Forks Aquatics Centre. This is a benefitted, full-time position working 5:30am – 12:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Lifeguard Instructor 3 (LG3) staff perform both skilled lifeguarding and instructional work at the pool. As an instructor, LG3s teach fitness, aquafit and learn-to-swim classes, as well as share lifeguarding duties on deck. Staff assist the Aquatic Coordinator to implement the community swimming and water safety programs and support the clean and safe operations of the pool. LG3’s are considered leaders in the Aquatics team and as such are expected to act with courtesy, tact and diplomacy to ensure a safe, enjoyable and effective experience for our community.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Minimum 17 years of age
- Current National Lifeguard Service award
- Current CPR C qualification
- Current Water Safety Instructor
- Current Royal Life Saving Instructor’s Certificate
- Fitness Instructor
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
