Deputy Director of Development
This key management role is responsible for the leadership, organization and supervision of the Development Division within the Community Planning and Development Department. The Development Division includes the Land Development section, responsible for processing of land development service agreements and engineering inspection service, the Facilities section responsible for the delivery of the facilities capital programs and the Building Approvals section, responsible for plan checking and building inspection.
The ideal candidate will have a University Degree in civil engineering, architecture or planning with related experience in land development, project management and building construction including sound knowledge and understanding of the BC Building Code. With excellent communication skills and considerable management experience you will work with elected officials, clearly present written and verbal information, manage conflict, perform multiple duties simultaneously within deadlines and budget, and develop effective working relationships with employees, developers, council and the general public.
