Senior Manager, Budget and Forecasting
Surrey Schools is the largest school district in British Columbia. The school district serves the City of Surrey, the City of White Rock and includes the rural area of Barnston Island. Surrey Schools has 101 elementary schools and 19 secondary schools serving over 70,000 students, with an annual budget over $700 million.
The Senior Manager, Budget and Forecasting, has a strong emphasis on budgeting and forecasting. Reporting to the Associate Director, Fiscal Management Services, the successful candidate will work closely and pro-actively with all departments in the development, monitoring and reporting on budgets and forecasting of financial results.
The successful candidate will be a designated accountant (CPA) with a demonstrated proficiency in contemporary budgeting, forecasting techniques and modeling, strong financial modeling skills with the ability to utilize MS Excel formulas, pivot tables and macros. In addition, will possess strong communication skills for both internal and external contacts. School district experience and knowledge of PowerSchool ERP Atrieve system is an asset.
