Masters Swimming Coach
(Casual)

The West Vancouver Aquatics team is hiring a casual Masters Swimming Coach. Reporting to the Aquatics Program Coordinator, the ideal candidate is motivated, creative, energetic, and available to coach at various times of the day during the week and weekend.

This position will be responsible for on-deck coaching for practices, training program creation and implementation, customer service, and responding to the needs of participants. The Coach will be knowledgeable and up to date on current swim technique and training methodologies, will be an expert communicator and team-player and will ensure a safe training environment for all participants. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and at least two years coaching experience with a Master’s Swimming program.

Required Certifications include:

·   NCCP – Fundamentals Coach (Level 1)
·   Standard First Aid
·   CPR-C    

The successful candidate will be required to supply a police information check with vulnerable sector and a copy of their credentials.

Position Status:
Non-Union – Casual

Hours of Work:
Hours and days of work will vary and may include early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.

Rate of Pay:
This position offers a competitive wage based on experience and qualifications.
