Provincial Entities

BC Housing develops, manages and administers a wide range of subsidized housing options across the province. We partner with public and private housing providers, other levels of government and community agencies to create the best system of housing and supports for those in greatest need.

BC Housing also helps bring about improvements in the quality of residential construction in B.C. and helps strengthen consumer protection for buyers of new homes. The Homeowner Protection Office, a branch of BC Housing, is responsible for licensing residential builders and building envelope renovators, administering owner builder authorizations, and carrying out research and education to benefit the residential construction industry and consumers.
