This new mobile, web and desktop application supports the City’s drive towards a robust Coordinated Access system of care for Abbotsford, and allows better coordination between service agencies and organizations, ultimately leading to improved support and access to housing.

  4. City of Abbotsford Allocates More than $1.78 Million for Homelessness Prevention Projects
    Of the 19 applications received, five local capital, service and shelter-diversion projects were selected to receive funding by Abbotsford’s Reaching Home Community Advisory Board, which is made up of various stakeholders representing and/or serving the different population groups of those experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the community.

  5. New Funding Supports Critical Infrastructure in the Northwest

  8. Penticton First in B.C. to Offer Free Transit for Age 24 and Under
    BC Transit has launched Umo in Penticton, which allows transit users to pay through a mobile app or reloadable card. Youth between 13 and 24 will be able receive free transit by registering at one of five locations (12 and under ride for free). The passes will be valid until Dec. 31, 2024.

  10. Coquitlam Supports E-Mobility and Expands E-Scooter Pilot
    Council supported the City’s continued participation in the provincial electric kick scooter pilot for another four years, enabling people age 16 and up to ride e-scooters on designated routes throughout Coquitlam or use the e-scooter and e-bike sharing services in City Centre. The City is also planning improvements to e-scooter/e-bike sharing, including expanded range and safety features, based on data collected during 55,000 trips during the six months of the pilot.
