The W Group designs, implements, and manages holistic, best practice solutions that maximize residents' experience, drive satisfaction and build awareness.

The W Group assists municipalities to build long-term community engagement capacity by focusing on securing residents' ongoing involvement.  Primarily, we are a professional services support firm providing the following services to municipalities on either a fixed rate, per hour, or estimate basis. We also provide specialized consulting services on a variety of solutions. All of our work is designed specifically for Canadian municipalities.

E-Learning Courses - eliminate the need for classroom time by enabling employees to complete independent online training and education.
Digital Forms Design & Delivery - reduce in-person contact and streamline information flow
E-Communications - e-newsletters that help municipalities reach, inform, educate and engage residents
Survey Research Services - survey design, fielding and reporting along with community engagement research panel development (we also support engagement activities Bang the Table)
Customer Feedback Programs - gain feedback from customers to ensure they are comfortable with the City's facilities COVID-19 safety measures and ongoing

Our team consists of highly trained professionals within specific disciplines from market research, community engagement, e-marketing/e-newsletters, digital forms design, and data flow/integration as well as KPI dashboard designed programming, and e-learning program creation. Our products are designed to be used both in stand-alone ad-hoc applications as well as in integrated programs that support overall community engagement efforts 

FOIPPA Compliance
In terms of FOIPPA, we are fully versed and compliant with all Province of BC requirements through our practices, and software. We provide a completed PIA for all external software to clients upon request. For our surveys, e-learning courses, and digital forms we use https secure forms to protect the data entered on screen, and all collected data is stored on Canadian-based web servers. In the case when we are collecting opinion-based data and personal information there are specific data management protocols in place where the data does not reside together. One example is the use of a prize draw as part of a survey, we manage the selection of the prize draw winners so that the personally identifiable information is not sent to municipal staff. 

Community Engagement Research Panel (pronoun - Cherp)
To support the building of long-term community engagement capacity we often recommend a municipality begin by structuring a community engagement research panel. We refer to this as 'Going beyond the same 10 people'. Most municipalities are challenged by hearing from the same 10 people on every issue and plan. A CERP balances the vocal few with the silent majority and those unaware to secure survey results that are representative of your residents. Getting started is very easy.
