Wastewater Technician 1, 2, 3 or 4

The District of Summerland is seeking a Wastewater Technician 1, 2, 3 or 4 for a term position. The term will be for six months to cover a medical absence and the work involves the operation, maintenance, and administration of the District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lift Stations.
 
Required Qualifications

1. EOCP certification in Wastewater Treatment at EOCP Level 1, 2, 3, or 4.
2. Completion of an accredited post-secondary program in Water/Wastewater Technology (or equivalent), plus related municipal experience and training in wastewater treatment is preferred.
3. A valid B.C. Driver’s Licence – Class 5.

This is a CUPE full-time term position, and the pay will reflect the level of EOCP certification as per the CUPE Agreement: Level 1 - $33.62, Level 2 – $35.59, Level 3 - $37.24, Level 4 - $42.00, plus 15% in lieu.
