City of Delta Launches Webpage to Support New Immigrants
City of DeltaDELTA - The City of Delta has launched a webpage to support new immigrants.
Over one third of Delta’s residents are immigrants, 45% of the population identify as racialized residents and close to 900 newcomers arrive every year.
The City of Delta offers many services to its residents and continues to partner with community organizations to ensure that the needs of the newcomer residents are being met.
Resources have been developed to help make the transition to a new home city as smooth as possible, and include community initiatives and forums, volunteer opportunities, mentoring programs, a civic engagement bootcamp, links to external settlement services, and more.
