Position Overview
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is now accepting applications for a Planner I position based out of its Salmon Arm, BC office.
 
Under the general direction of the Manager, Planning Services, the Planner I is responsible for responding to a variety of land use enquiries directed to the Development Services Department. The Planner I receives, documents and processes land use applications from a basic to intermediate level of complexity, provides information on departmental policies and procedures, and serves as a key team member in the Development Services Department.

Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent supplemented by a Degree in Planning or a related discipline, plus a minimum of two years of work experience in Planning or related field, preferably in a local government environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid BC Driver’s License.

Additional Information
Position Type: Permanent full time (35 hour work week)
Union: CUPE Local 1908
Salary Range: $2,683.29 to $2,964.95 bi-weekly (January 2024 rates)
Hours of Work: Typical hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
(Option to work an additional half hour and participate in flex schedule.)
