We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our Financial Services team! This position is situated within the Treasury department of Financial Planning. The Treasury department is responsible for managing the investment and debt portfolios, overseeing the utilization of reserves, developing financial models and formulating funding strategies.

This role will join our amazing team of Accountants who prepare summaries of accounts, perform analysis and reporting, balance and reconcile statements, prepare journal entries, deliver financial reporting, provide accurate and efficient financial functions and assist the public with municipal transactions. Our Accountants review and analyze various financial reports and initiate corrective action; Accountants also direct the work of other financial services staff and train and advise other staff and customers on accounting functions, policies and procedures.  

Qualifications

  • Business Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 10 CPA PREP courses
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible accounting experience
  • Experience with financial modelling, financial software systems, internal controls, preparing complex financial statements and, budgeting, municipal accounting and auditing would be an asset.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling is highly valued.
