About the Opportunity:
The Township is seeking a motivated individual to fill a leadership role within the Finance Department. Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high functioning team and overseeing the various operating functions including payroll, accounting, payables, receivables, financial statement preparation and compliance with municipal policies and regulatory requirements. With a focus on potential succession planning, the Manager may be provided with additional growth and professional development opportunities as part of the role.

Our Preferred Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation together with at least five years of progressively responsible experience in a municipal or similar environment. Additionally, the preferred candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of the principles, practices and methods related to fund accounting and municipal financial operations, as well experience managing staff within a unionized environment.
