Parks Operator II – Irrigation 


Nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, Summerland is a picturesque community with a population of approximately 12,000 residents. The District of Summerland boasts a small-town atmosphere, beautiful outdoor environment, and a great quality of life with access to many indoor and outdoor recreational facilities and over 60 parks including sports fields, beaches, trails, rodeo grounds, green spaces and gardens.

The District is seeking an experienced Parks Operator II for a year round full-time permanent position with the primary function of irrigation maintenance. The ideal individual will have comprehensive knowledge of irrigation systems and possess a minimum of Certified Irrigation Technician Level 1 or Turf Science Level 1, or other relevant turf management courses with the willingness to obtain the other certification. Candidates are also required to assist with other landscaping functions and hold a valid B.C. Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
