The [Local Government] is responsible for ensuring that there is a plan for the protection and recovery of public records. The purpose of this document is to implement a disaster preparedness and
response plan that will help protect and recover critical documents and information that may be damaged or lost in a mishap or disaster. This plan will enable all employees, with assistance from others, to meet a records emergency with maximum efficiency and minimum loss to records.
