City on board with Homalco plans for new housing development south of Jubilee Pkwy

Abstract:
The Homalco First Nation wants to build new affordable housing units on its reserve south of Jubilee Parkway, and the City of Campbell River says it’s in full support of the project. A Community Housing Fund application through BC Housing is now in the works for the 20-unit development. The new housing will see a variety of unit sizes and types, replacing a handful of existing units that no longer meet the needs of residents.
