The shiny new tourismnorthernrockies.ca is mobile-friendly, with accessibility improvements, improved navigation, information display, and emergency notifications. The website has several new features, including:
- Regional Services Map and Interactive Travel Guide: Residents and visitors can search by area within the Regional Municipality, through the pre-set advanced search list, the search bar or clicking directly on the map.
- Subscribe function: Users can subscribe to pages of interest to receive a notification when information is updated.
- Event calendars: Users are able to access calendars for community events, programs and festivals. This feature is not currently visible on the website due to Covid-19 health and safety regulations but will be available as pandemic restrictions subside.
- Search function: An upgraded search function allows for a more user-friendly experience when looking for information on the new website and is easily accessible through the website header.
Additionally, modernized municipal, airport and investment-centred websites are also in the development stages and will be launching in the coming months.
