VanConnect is a new mobile app that uses digital technology to take citizen engagement to the next level.  Built on a flexible platform, it enables the delivery of content and services at a rate that matches demand.    Citizens are able to connect to City Hall services while they are on the go at their convenience.  It enables city app features popular in many cities and elevates the citizen experience with topical updates that reflect daily matters of popular concern.  Citizens can report service requests such as abandoned garbage or a broken street light; they can access features leveraging open data, complete common transactions, link to popular content and stay connected to their city by receiving news and emergency information straight to their phone.  The app drives the establishment of an enhanced digital citizen experience that will increase engagement and make City hall more responsive to areas of citizen need.
