BC Water Tool

Subject(s):
Posting Date: January 19, 2018
Year Published: 2018
Abstract:
The BC Water Tool is an online portal, linking users to information regarding water availability, existing water users and monitoring data.  The main BC Water Tool page links users to a variety of sub-tools for different regions of the province (Northwest, Northeast, Cariboo and Omineca regions), as well as the BC Water Portal, which focuses on Northern BC in general.  The tools are web-based mapping platforms that contain information about water licences and related water-management data.

As well, the Info Sources section includes compiled water-related information in database format, for each region of the province.  These searchable databases contain a range of reports, projects and other data pertaining to water management in each region.  In addition, some databases link to a summary report regarding the information needs for sustainable water management in that region.
