This important annual event brings together local elected leaders representing communities of all sizes from coast to coast to coast to discuss and workshop practical local climate solutions. 

How do we tackle climate action and prepare for climate changes in the context of the competing crises of affordability, housing, biodiversity, and more? The last few years have shown us that climate impacts are coming faster than scientists had even predicted, and it is local governments that are responsible for keeping their residents safe. However, it is important to ensure adaptation does not come at the expense of emissions reductions and Indigenous reconciliation, and in many cases, constituents have their eyes on other priorities. 

Local governments have to take a system wide approach to tackling these interconnected issues. This year’s agenda will be delivered in partnership with Community Energy Association, WCS Engagement + Planning, and Hlimoo Sustainable Solutions, and it will focus on solutions and actions for attendees to take home with them.
