Long-Term Financial Planning - Policy Lab
Government Finance Officers Association of British ColumbiaLong-term Financial Planning (LTFP) is the cornerstone of fiscal sustainability for local government. The LTFP process helps organizations to develop an understanding of how choices made today affect their ability to provide services in the future. This workshop will lead participants through the LTFP process from initial considerations, including existing financial plans, strategic plans, and servicing plans to determine key inputs and funding strategies.
Participants will have opportunities to network with colleagues and share strategies they are currently using to adapt to unexpected, and challenging, financial planning situations. They will also gain knowledge related to approaches and funding in LTFPs, the steps involved in LTFPs, and understanding the key inputs and outputs necessary for a long-term financial plan.
